Identifying Norway Rat Tracks

Norway rat tracks resemble much smaller versions of human hand prints, only with four fingers instead of five. The palm looks like a thick, lowercase letter N with two heavy dots under it. Part of the track might be obscured by tail drag.

Where to Look

Finding Norway rat prints is easier after understanding that the pests repeatedly use the same pathways. Indoors, they usually travel along baseboards, rarely venturing into the middle of the floor. Other places to look include behind appliances like refrigerators and stoves.

Taking Action

The contamination and damage that Norway rats can cause is well documented. Inside homes, they foul food supplies, chew on structural materials, and saturate floorboards with waste. When Norway rat tracks are spotted, the pest removal experts at Critter Control can get rid of the rodents and restore peace.
