Raccoon on Roof Removal

Raccoons are strong and resourceful. They can tear through shingles and playwood, and this homeowner in Columbia, MO experienced that first hand. A raccoon was able to locate a weakness under a roof return and created a large hole. We trapped and removed the raccoon and did a final inspection to ensure there were no other animals in the attic.

We covered the hole with steel flashing to make sure the raccoon wouldn’t return to the same spot. We then boxed in that section of the roof return. Roof returns provide easy access to a variety of animals. The box prevents animals from reaching that space. Once the box was installed, we replace the shingles.
