Animals are resourceful, so we are too. Our industry-defining training process offers comprehensive topics that helped define the industry. Critter Control training increases and improves the skills of our employees.

Decades of Experience Distilled

As one of the first in the field, Critter Control created best practices for wildlife removal. Our training program includes core field training, leadership training, sales training, and safety training. Some examples of the topics include ladder safety, proper animal handling, and species-specific animal trapping.

Our comprehensive training not only increases and improves the skills of our employees, but also ensures they perform their job safely.

Continuous Training

Training starts on day one and doesn’t stop. All new hires complete training that includes field training, virtual classroom, and online studies. Training culminates with real world, hands-on coaching to gain experience with manager/tenured employee.

Each month, employees will learn new skills in safety, technical skills, customer service, and sales. District Managers take time monthly to provide on the job coaching with each employee.

LEADING THE WAY – CRITTER CONTROL® “CERTIFIED WILDLIFE SPECIALISTS”

Protecting People, Property and Wildlife®. Beginning in 1999, Critter Control® developed and implemented an internal certification process, the Vertebrate Pest Management Training and Certification Course. The Vertebrate Pest Management manual was developed in cooperation with staff from Michigan State University’s Pesticide Education Program, the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources, and wildlife biologists from Critter Control®.

Critter Control® franchisees and technicians who successfully pass testing are recognized as “Certified Wildlife Specialists”. Critter Control’s certified technicians are awarded a certificate of achievement and recognized for their efforts within the company. Critter Control® remains committed to setting the highest standards in the industry in order to provide quality customer care.

THE INDUSTRY FOLLOWED

The National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) developed a professional certification program designed to evaluate the education and professional experience of wildlife control operators. The first course was completed September 2017, helping the industry improve standards. When selecting a nuisance wildlife control operator, be sure they have the proper state agency-issued licenses and permits, and are fully insured to include personal and property liability insurance, as well as workers’ compensation.

All Critter Control locations are properly licensed and insured.

To resolve any nuisance wildlife issue you may be experiencing, contact the professionals at Critter Control.

A possum was able to gain entry into my basement through the dryer vent. I called Critter Control and they responded a few hours later. John came to my residence and quickly found the unwanted critter and removed her. I am extremely happy with the service I received. Critter Control will be installing a dryer vent to prevent future critters from entering my home.

Raccoon in attic, unconfirmed, but Critter Control Austin did a good job sealing, spraying and making sure if was not inside before sealing everything.

This company demonstrates a professional customer service dynamic and quality workmanship. They performed exclusion reinforcement as young raccoons had recently found their way into the attic crawl space area.

Hudson at Critter Control was absolutely fantastic! He came out to remove some critters in our attic for myself and my wife. From start to finish, the experience was professional, friendly, and incredibly easy. Hudson showed up on time, clearly knew what he was doing, and took the time to explain everything instead of just rushing through the job. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the genuine care for getting the problem taken care of the right way. I was very very nervous about the animals in my ceiling and the possibility of bats. He did everything possible to ease my concerns. It’s rare to come across someone who combines great communication, professionalism, and excellent service like Hudson does. If you need pest or wildlife removed or taken care of, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hudson and Critter Control!
