Getting rid of bats can seem daunting. In South Florida, bat colonies can range from a few hundred to a few thousand. Bats trying to re-enter a condo building in South Florida after Critter Control installed a check valve the night before. The check valve allows the bats to leave, but not re-enter. The bats safely and humanely evict themselves. Once we were sure all bats were gone, we sealed the entire building. We did not install the valve until all bats were able to fly. During the summer, juvenile bats are flightless. Juvenile bats are dependant on females. If you exclude the bats before the pups can fly, they'll be trapped inside your home. It is not a humane practice.
