Q&A with Local Franchisee:
What are some of the most common wildlife issues that homeowners face in your area?
Squirrels, mice, bats, and woodchucks.
How do the seasons affect wildlife activity in your area?
In the summer, we see bats in attics, and woodchucks are everywhere. Raccoons and squirrels are starting to break into attics as summer moves into fall. Moles start to inhabit lawns again. Because we are in a northern state, wildlife are seasonal and our busiest time is from April thru October. December thru February we deal with raccoons, and February thru March we see skunks. Mice are a problem all winter.
Any prevention tips for residents in your area?
After making sure animals are out of the attic, all construction gaps must be sealed and all mouse entry points need to be sealed. This will help to prevent future problems.
When should homeowners call Critter Control?
Critter Control should be called to inspect before or after an animal problem is detected. If a homeowner wants to feel safe in their own home knowing that there aren't any animals living with them then they should call us.
