Description	Chlamysia psittavi, which is a virus-like organism in pigeons, parakeets, farm poultry or waterfowl
Location	Anywhere birds are present
Cause	Infectious respiratory disease by inhaling dried bird secretions
Symptoms	Mild pneumonia or flu like symptoms that can rapidly become fatal
Treatment	Seek medical attention from a physician
Prevention	Wear a face mask or respirator if working in a dry dusty area where bird droppings are present Spray work areas with water and disinfectants to minimize the potential for airborne particles.
