Bee Swarms

If you see a swarm of bees this spring, don’t panic, but at the same time keep a safe distance - especially if you live in the southern US, as Africanized “killer bees” may be present.  Swarms of honey bees are a normal event each spring, as queens leave an existing nest with a group of worker bees to form a new colony.  Most swarms will only stay in an area for a short period of time, but if you find a swarm in a particularly sensitive area, call 1-800-CRITTER and our technicians can safely capture that swarm and move it to another area.
